Stop Meth

What could I do to possibly help in the process of Stopping Meth?  There are several ways to get involved.  It all starts with prayer.  The power of prayer is more than anyone can fathom and is the true source to the Stopping of Meth.  

Other ways you can help is by starting a neighborhood watch group.  A neighborhood watch group simply keeps an eye out for suspicious activity in the area.  *NOTE*  Never try to approach a Meth dealer or someone whom you find suspicious.  Always contact the proper authorities and let them handle the situation.  Be helpful though.  Take down a description of the person and there vehicle. Note any clothes they are wearing and if there is a license plate, try and get the number. If you think that someone is selling Meth from a house in your neighborhood contact the authorities right away.  Take notes of suspicious activities.  Any and all information will be useful in the apprehension of Meth offenders.

Another way to get involved is teaching your children and yourself about the effects of Meth.  In a lot of cases Meth is tried on experimental basis and the effects are never fully known until it is to late.  I can say first hand that if I would had known the effects and impact Meth would have had in my life I might not of taken that first hit.  Educate your children and make sure they understand the severe, and deadly agreement that they sign when they take that first hit. Take the time and talk to your children before it is to late.

Another way to be involved in the Fight against Meth is to join forces with Organizations that take Meth addicts in and truly try and change there ill and sick behavior.  This is a very very difficult task.  I speak first hand when I say if there is a Teen Challenge Center in your area, which there is, support them.  Teen Challenge not only got me out of the Meth game but it also saved my life and introduced me to a true and living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.  There are many other organizations and such that can also be very effective in the redemption of Meth Addicts.  Look around, find one that interests you and support it.
